Stop guessing. Start measuring.

Pro-level testing for athletes 8 and up, with custom analysis in a report that's easy to read.

Baseline Test $199 · $99 when you train with us
FORCE (N) BODY WEIGHT 1 DIP 2 DRIVE 3 AIR 4 LAND
CMJ: countermovement jump. Your athlete dips and jumps as high as they can while standing on force plates. The force curve shows how they use the ground: jump height, how fast they produce force, left against right, and how they land.
FORCE (N) BODY WEIGHT GROUND AIR
10/5 repeated hop. Ten quick hops with as little time on the ground as possible. Reactive strength is how high they hop for the time they spend on the ground, the springy quality behind sprinting and cutting.
SPEED 0 YD 5 YD 10 YD 15 YD
Sprint. Timing gates along the lane record the time to each gate, to the millisecond. From those splits we get acceleration and how quickly your athlete gets up to speed.
FORCE (N) LEFT RIGHT GAP PUSH HOLD RELAX
Strength. Your athlete pushes or pulls against padded sensors, one side at a time, at the hips, shoulders, hamstrings, and quads. We compare left with right, and a gap only counts when it is bigger than the difference between their own tries.
KNEE BEND FULL DEPTH REP 1 REP 2 REP 3
Overhead squat. A 3D camera tracks your athlete's joints through the squat, with no markers or suits. It shows how deep they get and how their hips, knees, and ankles move together.

Illustrative curves, not a real athlete's data.

The same testing system trusted by teams in the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, and Premier League.

The APX method

Train by the numbers.

Most youth training runs on guesswork. Ours starts with a Baseline Test: how well your athlete jumps and lands, how freely they move, and how much force they produce, with sprint and change of direction. Every session builds speed, agility, and range of motion toward a number, with strength added when your athlete is ready. A retest shows exactly what changed. See how training works ↗

After one Baseline, you'll know

  • How high and how powerfully your athlete jumps, and how they land
  • Whether one side is stronger than the other, and by how much
  • How fast they get up to speed, and how quickly they turn
  • How freely their hips, ankles, and shoulders move
  • Where body size, jump, hip strength, and sprint sit for their age

For parents

What your athlete gets. What you see.

Real numbers

Force, speed, and movement quality measured on VALD systems, left side against right and this session against the last. Not a coach's opinion, not a stopwatch.

A report you can read

Every Baseline ends with a private report written for the athlete and the parent: what was measured, what held up across repeat tries, what to work on, and when to retest. A coach reads it before you do.

Only numbers that hold up

Every test is repeated, and a left-right gap only counts when it is bigger than the difference between your athlete's own tries. Every test is non-invasive and a coach runs the whole session.

Coached, not just measured

A coach turns the report into training. Small groups, every rep tied to a number.

How it works

Three steps to a plan that fits.

  1. Book a Baseline

Pick a time online. Up to 1 hour 30 minutes in a small group of up to 4 athletes, on force plates, motion capture, strength sensors, and timing gates.

  2. Get the report

A private page written for parents: which numbers held up, left against right, and up to three things to work on. A coach reads it before you do.

  3. Train and retest

Training is optional. Join a small-group plan built on the report, and retest every 6 to 8 weeks to see what moved.

The report

See the report before you book.

Every test ends with a private page written for parents, not sports scientists: what moved since last time, which numbers held up, where your athlete sits for their age, and a note from the coach. Each retest adds to the same page, so progress is easy to follow.

Mateo is a made-up athlete. His page is the one every APX family gets.

Athlete profile Mateo Rivera 14 · Baseball, pitcher · 5 visits since May Mateo keeps getting stronger, while his jump height dipped. Better. Mid-thigh pull, up 17 percent since June. Lower. Jump height, 4 cm lower than in September. Steady. Jump power and quick hops, about the same as last time. A note from Coach DanaMateo worked hard today. His sprint keeps getting quicker, and his left hip has caught up with his right.

Who it's for

Every athlete. Every level.

Ages 8 and up

Youth athletes 8 to 18, and adults too. Every athlete is measured against their own numbers first, then, for body size, jump height and power, hip strength, and sprint times, against published youth data for their age, and under-12s skip only the hop.

Every sport

Soccer, baseball, softball, football, basketball, volleyball, lacrosse, track. The Baseline is the same for everyone: one whole-body battery, every test, for every athlete.

Every level

No tryout, no minimum. A Baseline shows where your athlete stands today and what to work on next. More about APX ↗

Questions

What parents ask first.

Is 8 too young for performance testing?

No. Every test is a movement your athlete already does: squat, jump, sprint, and push against a padded sensor. Athletes under 12 skip only the hop, and a coach watches every landing. Their results are compared with their own last test first, not with other kids. At 8 the goal is good habits and a baseline to grow from, not a number to chase.

Can we just do the Baseline without joining a plan?

Yes. Every athlete starts with a $199 Baseline Test, the report included, with no obligation to train with us. After that, book a retest for $179 when you want one, or get 3 tests for $399 with a Season Pass. On a training plan, tests are $99.

Is there a sign-up fee or a contract?

No sign-up fee and no long-term contract. Training plans run month to month until you cancel, with no charges after your current billing period. A Baseline Test, a test, or a Season Pass is a one-time purchase with no plan required.

Who sees my athlete's results?

You do. Every report is private to the athlete and their parent or guardian. Nothing goes to a school, league, or recruiter unless a parent chooses to share it.
